A Dear velued customer, Our HEPA is washable, but the emphasis is that the HEPA must be completely dry. Then we can put it back into the vacuum.

It works as well as the original. It is an essential part for vacuum. It is nice to have more than one filter, so when one is being washed and dried, one can use another. No interruption in vaccuuming.

To fit was a little tight at the beginning but then I was able to close it securely. I only think that it is highly overpriced and do wish manufacturer would do something to change that. They also need to include extra of the black filters that come with it since they get so dirty so quickly. Otherwise if you need a filter for your roomie tech this is the one you should buy.
